Christ Jesus, when we see you, we see God. But sometimes is is as if an inner fog has come down on our hearts. Help us then to understand that you are always there. Only the thirst for your presence gives us light.

God our Father, you love us as if each of us were your only child, as you loved Jesus. By your Holy Spirit, who dwells in our hearts, may his life become our life. And then we understand: to live for others, this is what you ask of us.

God of life, your will is not a law inscribed harshly on tablets of stone. It is your love, dwelling in the depths of our being. It does not narrow our hearts, but opens them wider and wider to welcome your Holy Spirit, and to welcome the people you entrust to us.
